The
dragon for both Chinese and
Japanese cultures symbolizes power and excellence. In the early days
some of the dynasty’s worshiped the
dragon as their lord and some
actually even asked dragons for help and guidance. These cultures
would perform rituals to worship the
dragons. In Japanese Folklore there
are nine types of
dragons and in Chinese Folklore
there are only three.
The Dragon occupies a very important
position in Chinese mythology. It shows up in arts, literature,
poetry, architecture, songs, and many aspects of the Chinese
conscience. The origin of Chinese dragons is unknown, but certainly
pre-dates the written history. For more Chinese Dragon
